First day as a Catechist

Teaching for the first time can be challenging.

It can be frustrating when we don't feel like we're progressing as quickly as we want to, or when it feels like we're the only one struggling as a catechist.

It's difficult to remember that self-compassion is a realistic expectation for everyone.

Nobody starts out amazing at anything and anyone can become the best at something if they work hard enough.

There are many misconceptions about what it takes to be great catechist.

For example, many people believe that they need to be born with a special talent or have some kind of natural ability.

However, this is not the case.

As a matter of fact, most people who are considered the best at what they do have struggled for years before finally breaking through and achieving success.

God has a plan for each of us, and it's up to us to make the most of it.

It can be tough at times, but a good way to start is by taking small steps that will eventually lead to big changes.
