The Sacrament of Confirmation

Confirmation is the sacrament where after you have been christened in baptism, the Holy Spirit will come to your soul and act as a guide to help you live a good life.

Confirmation is the sacrament by which we are confirmed with the Holy Spirit, the gift of the Father and Son.

The bishop anoints the forehead and prays for the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit, which are wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety and fear of the Lord.

The Holy Spirit comes to our soul in a special way to help us live as Christians.

What is the Holy Spirit?

The Holy Spirit is God. 

He is the third person of the Trinity. 

The Holy Spirit helps us know and love God and experience being a Christian.

How does the Holy Spirit help me?

The Holy Spirit comes to our soul in a special way to help us live as Christians. 

He gives us the power and desire to live as Jesus did, love as Jesus loved, and follow Jesus’ teachings.

We are strengthened for this journey of faith by receiving God's promises and gifts, which empower us to spread His message.
